MITA is the first higher technical institute (Istituto Tecnico Superiore or ITS) that provides advanced professional education in the fashion industry. It is aimed at granting qualified job opportunities in the Made in Italy sector to high-school graduates. Our courses are held in various locations across Tuscany: first of all, at our headquarters in Scandicci (FI), but also in Prato, Lucca, Piancastagnaio (SI), Grosseto and Capannori (LU).

MITA is the acronym for Made in Italy Tuscany Academy; we combine the artisan tradition of our territory with the use of cutting-edge technologies, to guarantee a top-class learning experience to our students.

Apprenticeship opportunities
MITA offers apprenticeship opportunities at prestigious companies, both in Italy and abroad. All our courses include 800-hours internships in the fashion, accessories and leather industries.

Employability
The main goal of our courses is training professionals with expertise in the most thriving fields of the fashion business. 90% of our students find employment within one year of concluding their studies.

Excellence of Made in Italy
A higher technical institute, parallel to university, which gives its students the opportunity to specialize in the Made in Italy sector and become the new professionals of the Italian fashion industry.

Co-funded fashion courses
Our biennial courses are co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Education and Regional Government of Tuscany. Only a participation fee is required from our students to obtain a “Higher Technician Diploma in Made in Italy Fashion”.

The courses are taught by highly trained professionals of the fashion business, who share their know-how with our students and prepare them for real-world challenges.
