Course GIFT Higher Technician for
an environmentally compliant
footwear industry
The course GIFT, which stands for Green Innovation Footwear in Tuscany- by MITA, shapes the figure of a Higher Technician specialized in the implementation of Industry 4.0 dictates. These range from elements of digital innovation (augmented reality) to footwear modelling and prototyping, along with skills related to circular economy and sustainable production. The young technicians will achieve practical knowledge of footwear manufacturing methods; they will master the digital innovations related to the virtual realization of a luxury product, by developing expertise on augmented reality software and utilizing 3D printers and scanners. Students will have the opportunity to acquire specific skills regarding product and process sustainability, and they will be involved in meetings and seminars with innovative start-ups and environmentally-conscious brands.

The school is located in the prestigious Villa l’Acciaiolo, also called Castello dell’Acciaiolo or, more simply, l’Acciaiolo, it is a historic noble residence that is now publicly owned.
