BI.UNIQUE. – Bags Industry.

Description: The technician trained in BI.UNIQUE., is able to combine the ability to create a fashion product with innovation in the choice and use of materials coming from another leading supply chain in Tuscany, namely food The plan, created in partnership with ITS E.A.T., combines skills ranging from 3D modeling (additive manufacturing), to the sustainable search for recycled materials from the food chain for the creation of high-end luxury items (bags and accessories). The figure, responding to a very strong need expressed by the big brands based in the Scandicci district, has a markedly eco-friendly and practical/operational approach; it encompasses both the ability to interface with the various contacts in the company’s supply chain (upstream and downstream of the process), understanding the dictates of style, and operational competence in the definition and construction of the fashion object according to the criteria of the highest production range and the new sustainable lines adopted by fashion houses and leather brands. The in-depth preparation on construction techniques and sustainable innovations allows the technician to be included also in the quality control phases. To sum up, the outgoing figure combines several skills: craftsmanship that allows the creation of high-end leather products and accessories/ operational skills strongly focused on the “heart” of production, i.e. the prototyping and creation of the fashion object/ important knowledge of design and construction techniques of the luxury leather object/ ability to master virtual design tools of the object and digital novelties borrowed from industry 4.0 (specifically additive manufacturing)/ in-depth knowledge of recycled materials and their use for the creation of ecofriendly fashion objects.
